Shyamala Rajagopalan has more than a decade of experience in supporting the protection and licensing of The Texas A&M University System inventions. Prior to A&M, Shyamala worked as R&D Manager for 13 years in a start-up in Manhattan, KS that came out of Kansas State University’s inventions.  In this role, she not only secured and managed SBIR/STTR/BAA grants, but also gained experience in intellectual property protection, university-industry collaborations, and technology development in response to market needs. Shyamala earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of California-Davis, followed by postdoctoral research at Purdue University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
