Meet Amit Gupta, Licensing Manager at Texas A&M Innovation concentrating in Life Sciences, Engineering and AI. He is a seasoned leader in life sciences business development and commercialization who helps move promising innovations from discovery toward real-world impact. With expertise spanning biotechnology, medical technology and diagnostics, Amit specializes in technology evaluation, market strategy and commercialization. He has led technical, commercial and intellectual property due diligence for high-value innovations, helping advance technologies toward licensing agreements and venture-backed startups.
Amit also mentors founders and inventors on R&D strategy, market positioning and commercialization pathways, translating market, competitive and financial insights into actionable recommendations. His experience includes developing licensing strategies, managing technology portfolios, supporting emerging ventures and operating therapeutic-focused accelerator programs. Amit holds a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences and an MBA from Rice University.
