Innovation Triangle Batch 2 Expo Highlights Momentum in Aerospace and Defense Innovation

On January 22, 2026, Plug and Play hosted the Innovation Triangle Batch 2 Expo, bringing together founders, investors, industry leaders, and government partners to celebrate the progress of startups participating in its Aerospace & Defense accelerator program. Leadership of the Texas A&M Innovation team participated in the event in support of the growing Innovation Triangle ecosystem. A notable highlight was Harmony Aeronautics, led by Dr. Moble Benedict, a Texas-based, early-stage startup accepted into the Innovation Triangle Batch 2 Accelerator Program.
The expo featured startup spotlights from Batch 2 companies, offering attendees an inside look at technologies addressing real-world challenges across aerospace, defense, and dual-use markets. Participants also heard fresh perspectives from thought leaders across government and industry, reinforcing the importance of collaboration in advancing breakthrough innovation.
A notable highlight was Harmony Aeronautics, a Texas-based, early-stage startup accepted into the Innovation Triangle Batch 2 Accelerator Program. Founded by a team of faculty and graduate students, Harmony Aeronautics is working to commercialize dual-use quiet propulsion technology developed at Texas A&M University, exemplifying the strength of the Texas A&M innovation pipeline.
The event also emphasized expanded networking, connecting startups with investors, corporate partners, mentors, and government stakeholders while continuing to strengthen relationships across the Innovation Triangle.
The Batch 2 Expo underscored the momentum building around aerospace and defense innovation in Texas and highlighted the value of continued collaboration between Plug and Play, The Texas A&M University System, and the broader startup ecosystem.
