From Lab to Market – Innovation & Entrepreneurship Workshop at CIR

On May 2, 2025, researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurship advocates came together for the “From Lab to Market” Innovation & Entrepreneurship Workshop at the Center for Infrastructure Renewal (CIR) on the Texas A&M-RELLIS Campus. Co-hosted by Texas A&M University and Texas State University, the workshop delivered a hands-on experience focused on transforming academic research into market-ready solutions.

The event featured panels on key topics such as market assessment, intellectual property protection, and startup formation strategies. Participants also toured CIR’s state-of-the-art research facilities, gaining firsthand insight into the infrastructure supporting translational research.

Among the highlights were panel contributions from Texas A&M Innovation’s Janie Hurley, Senior Licensing Director and Chris Scotti, Director of Strategic Partnerships, who shared valuable expertise on innovation pathways and entrepreneurship within the university ecosystem.

This collaborative workshop reflected a growing momentum in Texas for bridging the gap between discovery and real-world application—and we’re proud to have been part of it.
