Disinfection Innovations, LLC, a San Antonio based company, is creating environmentally-friendly surface disinfectants based on technology developed by Dr. Virender Sharma at Texas A&M’s School of Public Health. These products will be able to provide an environmentally-friendly and low-cost method of using activated liquid ferrate, a powerful oxidant that kills pathogenic bacteria and spores, as a “green” alternative to bleach and other harsh chemicals.
