At Texas A&M Innovation, we take every opportunity to recognize the people who help turn ideas into impact. In honor of Technology Transfer Professionals Day, we proudly spotlighted members of our licensing, operations, and new ventures teams on our social media platforms (see below), professionals whose expertise and dedication move discoveries from the lab to the marketplace.

Observed annually on December 12, Technology Transfer Professionals Day aligns with the anniversary of the Bayh-Dole Act, enacted in 1980. This landmark legislation transformed the innovation landscape by empowering universities and inventors to take ownership of federally funded research and bring those discoveries to the public through commercialization.

As part of the broader celebration led by the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM), our spotlights highlighted the critical role tech transfer professionals play in supporting inventors, building industry partnerships, and advancing solutions that benefit society.

We are grateful for our team’s commitment to innovation and proud to celebrate the professionals who help bring Texas A&M discoveries to life—today and every day.
