Over 140 attendees gathered in person and via webinar for our February 4 seminar on Building Strong Startup Companies at Texas A&M. Our fireside chat included Texas A&M Innovation’s Managing Director of New Ventures for The Texas A&M University System, Dr. Samuel Kim, and the CEO of Eleckroninks, Brett Walker. Dr. Kim shared his business and investment experiences, lessons learned when starting hard science companies from university technology, and his thoughts on what it will take to build strong companies based on technologies developed within The Texas A&M University System.
Dr. Kim was joined by Electroninks CEO, Brett Walker, Ph.D. student out of the University of Illinois turned entrepreneur, who shared about his startup journey taking technology out of the lab and into a company, successes with R&D, corporate collaborations, and government funding. In case you missed it, a recording is provided at this link.
