Fiscal Year 2025 marked a strong year of progress for Texas A&M Innovation, reflecting continued momentum in translating research across The Texas A&M University System into real-world solutions.

During FY25, the office processed 271 invention disclosures, its highest in 5 years, underscoring robust research activity and growing engagement from faculty, researchers, and innovators across the system. These disclosures form the foundation for protecting intellectual property and advancing promising technologies toward commercialization.

Licensing activity also remained strong, with 67 total license and option agreements executed during the year and $8 million in licensing revenue generated—demonstrating sustained industry interest and market adoption of Texas A&M innovations.

In addition, 67 U.S. patents were issued, strengthening the system’s intellectual property portfolio and positioning technologies for long-term impact. Entrepreneurial activity continued to grow as well, with nine startups launched, further extending the reach of Texas A&M research into the marketplace.

Together, these FY25 outcomes highlight a comprehensive innovation pipeline—from discovery and protection to licensing and company formation—reinforcing Texas A&M Innovation’s role in driving economic development and societal impact.
