Robert McMinn develops commercialization and IP protection strategies for the many technologies submitted to our office from researchers across The Texas A&M University System. Robert has a background in patent prosecution as a Registered U.S. Patent Agent, as well as extensive experience in university technology transfer and corporate IP strategy. He has a broad range of expertise in material science, oil & gas, life science, medical devices, diagnostics and pharmaceutical therapies, optics, signal processing, automation, electrification and artificial intelligence. Robert received his B.S. in Microbiology from UT El Paso, and in a prior life was a professional classical violinist and mariachi.
