An initiative aimed at fostering innovation and supporting new inventors has been launched. The “New Inventor Incentive Program,” recently announced by Texas A&M Innovation, will award up to $500 to employees who submit a legitimate disclosure for the first time in the last five years.
Multiple inventors will receive a tiered monetary incentive.
- A single new inventor on a disclosure submission will receive $500.
- 2 new inventors on a disclosure submission will receive $700, split equally.
- 3 new inventors on a disclosure submission will receive $900, split equally.
- 4 or more new inventors on a disclosure submission will receive $1000, split equally.
The reward will be available to any employee who has not previously filed an invention disclosure in the last five years. To qualify, the inventor(s) must submit a complete invention disclosure. Inventors can submit the disclosure through Texas A&M Innovation’s online portal. For questions about the New Inventor Incentive, contact our office.
