Dakota Fathke is a Student Coordinator for the New Ventures team at Texas A&M Innovation. Dakota is a senior studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Engineering Entrepreneurship at Texas A&M University. He assists the New Ventures team by updating and maintaining the startup portfolio while supporting the development of new venture creations, performing market research, evaluating commercial opportunities, and communicating with startups and inventors.
Dakota is also the President of Aggies Create, a student-led consultancy and product design organization at Texas A&M. The mission of Aggies Create is to give students real-world project experience not available in the classrooms. As of 2024, Aggies Creates has worked with 20 companies around the U.S., started over 12 in-house product design projects, and competed in 5 competitions placing 2nd in the US DOE: Solar District Cup in 2023 & 2024 as well as being selected to advance to the final round for the NASA: Gateway to Blue Skies competition at the NASA Glenn Research Center in 2023.
